How ClaimCat works

Finding money you may be owed should not be complicated.

ClaimCat brings open class action settlements together in one searchable place, helps you review the basic requirements, and directs you to the official settlement website when you are ready to file.

  • Official claim links
  • No login required
  • Updated several times daily

1. Find settlements

The homepage lists open settlements that are currently accepting claims. You can scroll through them or use the search bar to look for something specific. The search works well for terms like a company name, a product, a service, a data breach, a fee or subscription charge, or another subject you have in mind.

Filters let you narrow results by state, deadline urgency, claim type, industry, and estimated payout. On a phone or tablet, filters open in a panel at the bottom of the screen. On a larger screen, they appear in a collapsible sidebar on the left.

Search results are not personalized. ClaimCat does not track your browsing history or past searches to tailor what you see.

2. Check the basic details

Each listing and its detail page may summarize what ClaimCat knows about that settlement at the time it was last reviewed. This can include:

  • Who may qualify, including any state or purchase restrictions
  • The available payment, reimbursement, credit, or other benefit
  • Whether the settlement requires supporting documentation
  • The filing deadline, if one is publicly listed
  • A link to the official settlement or claim website

Settlement details vary considerably from case to case, and ClaimCat summaries may not reflect the most recent court orders or administrator updates. If a summary is incomplete, outdated, or differs from what you see on the official site, the official settlement administrator’s website controls.

3. Save claims for later

Each listing has a Save button. Saved claims appear on the Saved Claims page so you can return to them without searching again.

Saved claims are stored in your browser’s local storage on the current device. They are not saved to a server or account. This means:

  • No login is required to save or view your list.
  • Your saved list is specific to this browser on this device. It will not appear if you switch to a different browser or a different device.
  • Clearing your browser’s site data or using a private or incognito window will remove the saved list, or prevent it from persisting after the session ends.
  • ClaimCat does not send reminders or notifications about saved claims.

Saving a claim is only an organizational tool. It does not file the claim for you.

4. Continue to the official settlement website

The primary action on every ClaimCat listing is a link that takes you to the official settlement, administrator, or claim website. That external site is operated by the court-appointed settlement administrator, not by ClaimCat.

The official site is where you should expect to find authoritative information, which may include some or all of the following:

  • The complete eligibility requirements for the settlement class
  • Court-approved notices and settlement documents
  • The official claim form
  • Rules for any required supporting documents
  • Contact information for the settlement administrator
  • Case updates and court hearing dates

Not every settlement site contains all of these items. Some settlements have a single online form; others distribute their materials across court dockets or third-party document repositories.

5. Submit directly through the official process

ClaimCat does not accept or process individual claims. To file, you must complete the official claim process provided by the settlement administrator. Depending on the settlement, this may involve:

  • An online claim form on the official settlement website
  • A paper form mailed to the settlement administrator
  • Another method specified in the court-approved settlement notice

Do not send claim documents or personal information to ClaimCat. ClaimCat has no role in the filing or review process.

ClaimCat helps you discover and organize settlements. It does not administer settlements, review individual claims, determine eligibility, or issue payments.

6. Watch the deadline

Most settlements have a strict filing deadline. Late claims are typically not accepted, regardless of circumstances.

  • Confirm the current deadline on the official settlement website — deadlines sometimes change due to court orders.
  • Check whether the deadline requires a postmark date or a submission received by the administrator by that date.
  • Give yourself enough time to gather any required documentation. Avoid waiting until the final day.
  • If the official process provides a confirmation number or sends a confirmation email, keep a copy for your records.

ClaimCat shows deadline dates from publicly available sources, but it does not track whether any individual user has filed a claim.
