Overview
This policy applies to the ClaimCat website and to ClaimCat-operated forms and features, including the Contact form and the Submit a Settlement form.
It does not govern official settlement websites, claim forms operated by settlement administrators, court websites, or other external sites that ClaimCat links to. Those services control their own collection and use of information under their own policies.

Submission does not guarantee publication. Suggestions are not published automatically. Submitter email and private contact details are not intended to appear in settlement listings.
Do not submit Social Security numbers, claim numbers, confirmation numbers, medical records, receipts, banking information, passwords, account credentials, or other sensitive claimant documents through ClaimCat forms.
Saved Claims
The Saved Claims feature stores claim identifiers in your browser using local storage. No account is required to use it.
- ClaimCat does not receive or store the list in its database through this feature.
- The list ordinarily remains in that browser on that device. It does not sync across devices or browsers.
- Changes may synchronize between open tabs in the same browser.
- Clearing browser or site data can remove saved items. Private browsing or browser restrictions may prevent persistence.
- Saving a claim does not file the claim, reserve eligibility, or extend a deadline.
- ClaimCat does not provide reminders or notifications through this feature.
Information collected automatically
When you visit ClaimCat, the hosting and backend infrastructure may process standard technical information as part of normal operations. This can include:
- IP address
- Requested URL or page
- Request date and time
- Browser or user-agent information
- Referring page
- Device or operating-system information
- Error and diagnostic data
- Security and abuse-prevention information
This processing is typical of web infrastructure and may occur regardless of whether a dedicated analytics product is active. ClaimCat does not currently use a dedicated visitor-analytics service. If analytics is enabled later, it must use only consent-gated, allowlisted route templates and coarse buckets rather than raw search strings, form contents, or full URLs.
Consent controls
ClaimCat currently does not load advertising or analytics scripts. The controls below let you decide how ClaimCat may use nonessential analytics or advertising features if they are enabled later.
Your choice is stored only in this browser. You can change it at any time, and essential website features still work if you reject nonessential features.
Advertising
ClaimCat may display clearly labeled advertisements in the future. At the time of this policy update, the site’s advertising placements are reserved and no third-party advertising network is active.
If advertising is enabled later, this policy will be updated. Advertising providers such as Google AdSense may use cookies or similar technologies, including device identifiers, to serve, measure, and personalize ads subject to consent and provider policies.
Ad personalization can usually be limited through the privacy choices control on ClaimCat, browser settings, and provider-specific preference tools where available.
Service providers
ClaimCat relies on service providers to operate the website and store submitted information. Those providers process information under their own terms, privacy commitments, and applicable agreements.
Providers include:
- Database and backend infrastructure: Supabase provides the database used to store contact messages and settlement suggestions.
- Advertising platforms: If ClaimCat enables advertising, providers such as Google AdSense may process ad-serving, measurement, and personalization data according to their own policies and your consent choices.
- Website hosting: ClaimCat is hosted on a cloud platform. The hosting provider handles request routing, infrastructure logging, and related operations.
Settlement administrators and source websites are not ClaimCat service providers merely because ClaimCat links to or reads publicly available information from them.
How information is used
Information collected through ClaimCat is used to:
- Operate and maintain ClaimCat
- Provide Saved Claims functionality in the browser
- Receive and review Contact messages
- Review settlement suggestions
- Correct and improve listings
- Troubleshoot technical issues
- Respond to accessibility concerns
- Prevent spam, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
Information submitted through ClaimCat forms is not used to decide claim eligibility. Eligibility decisions are made entirely by settlement administrators.
Data retention
ClaimCat retains submitted information only for as long as reasonably necessary to review the message or suggestion, maintain appropriate records, operate the website, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Saved Claims remain until the visitor removes them through site controls, clears site or browser data, or the browser blocks or removes the storage.
Consent preferences remain in the current browser until you change them or clear site data.
Security
ClaimCat takes reasonable steps to protect submitted information, including:
- Server-side form processing using trusted server-only code
- Server-side validation and field whitelisting
- Restricted database access and row-level security
- Service credentials stored as server-only environment variables, not exposed to browsers
- Honeypot spam protection
No website, database, or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
External websites
ClaimCat links to official settlement websites, claim forms, settlement administrators, court documents, and other public sources. Those sites:
- Control their own data collection
- May use cookies or tracking
- Have their own security practices
- Have separate privacy policies and terms of use
Review the external site’s privacy information before entering personal claim information. ClaimCat does not receive information entered directly into an official external claim form merely because the visitor followed a ClaimCat link.
Children’s privacy
ClaimCat is intended for a general audience and is not designed to collect personal information from children under 13. ClaimCat does not knowingly request that children submit personal information through its forms. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact ClaimCat so the situation can be reviewed.
Your privacy choices
The following choices are available:
- Remove individual Saved Claims using the site controls
- Clear ClaimCat site data through browser settings
- Change analytics and advertising consent in the Privacy Choices section above
- Avoid submitting optional form fields
You may also ask ClaimCat to review, correct, or delete information previously submitted through a ClaimCat form. ClaimCat will review reasonable privacy requests and may need enough information to identify the relevant submission and verify the requester’s relationship to it.
Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in a privacy request. ClaimCat cannot handle privacy requests that relate to information held by settlement administrators or court websites.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when site features change, when advertising is activated, when providers change, or when legal or operational requirements change. The Last updated date at the top of this page will be revised when the policy changes.
Contact
Contact ClaimCat with privacy questions or requests.
Do not include unnecessary sensitive information. If you are asking about a prior form submission, include enough context to locate it. ClaimCat cannot handle privacy requests for settlement-administrator or court websites.
